As a hydrogeologist, Richard characterizes subsurface environmental conditions including soil and groundwater-flow systems. He successfully manages projects that include brownfield redevelopment, real estate transactions, soil and groundwater characterization, groundwater drilling and well installation programs, and regulatory support. Richard routinely collaborates with others including geologists, biologists, engineers, toxicologists, real estate developers, attorneys, regulators and planners to resolve environmental matters.
He brings 40 years of experience in the environmental engineering and consulting business, including leadership positions at The Opus Group, Barr Engineering, URS (now part of AECOM), MACTEC (now part of WSP), Geomatrix (now also part of WSP), and Geraghty & Miller (now ARCADIS). While he has based his work primarily out of Minneapolis and San Francisco, his project experience spans most major national markets.
Richard's information technology expertise focuses on leveraging readily available computer technologies to effectively evaluate and communicate technical information associated with subsurface and groundwater-related matters.
